— Seasonal Services —
At the beginning of the season of Lent, we have an evening service in the Sanctuary that concludes with an opportunity for anyone who wishes to receive a cross of ashes on the forehead as a symbol of our mortality and our sin, but also of our hope in Jesus Christ.
The Sunday morning services will take us from high celebration into the more somber Passion theme of Holy Week. The Chancel Choir and Praise Team will be leading this worship experience along with character monologues. Sunday, April 9 at 9am and 11am. Both services are in the Sanctuary.
This service helps us remember the Last Supper Jesus shared with his disciples. Thursday, April 13 at 7:30pm in the Sanctuary
We will have the Sanctuary open from 12pm to 1pm with music, artwork on the screen and handouts with readings focusing on Jesus' final words from the cross. Friday, April 14
Come celebrate the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ with us at one of 3 worship services. Sunrise service is held on the front lawn at 7am followed by breakfast. Special music will highlight the 9am and 11pm worship services. Sunday, April 16
A musical addition to the holidays, the Christmas Cantata celebrates the joy of the season through music and/or drama.
Pineville UMC hosts three candlelight communion services on Christmas Eve. Services at 5pm, 7pm give special attention to children. A nursery is available for infants and toddlers during the 5pm and 7pm services. An 11pm service is more traditional in format and music.
