— Youth Missions —
The youth take a week-long mission trip to the North Carolina coast or mountains each summer. They leave on Sunday morning and return the following Saturday. The 2017 Mission Trip was an international one to Honduras, July 17-24. Watch the video from their experiences.
Mission trips are designed to help people in need while building the youths’ relationships with God. The trips provide a much-needed spiritual awakening as the youth get to know new people while working for God and seeing their peers praising the Lord.
Usually rising eight graders and above team up with Carolina Cross Connection and serve in western North Carolina. Together with other youth groups, college-aged folks and adults, they perform a variety of home repairs; such as building wheelchair ramps, repairing porches, painting, yard work and more. Campers also strive to meet the social, emotional and spiritual needs of the recipients by sharing the love of Christ with them. Camps provide an opportunity for youth and adults to grow in their faith through worship, devotions, team-building and other in-camp activities.

Every four years we look to take our team to an international location. In the summer of 2013 we went to Costa Rica. TO view a video highlighting that trip click on the photo to the left.
Pineville UMC youth serve the community through participating in the CROP Walk, managing SPIFFY (Service Projects Intended for Funding Youth) home improvement, helping with Room in the Inn and other projects for church members and mission trips.

SPIFFY projects are back! We're available for yard work, mowing, small handy projects, repairs and general cleaning. SPIFFY projects should be able to be completed in two or three hours so we can fit more jobs in each weekend.
