1878    Pineville Methodist Episcopal Church founded
1879    Deed drawn, first handmade brick building begun on current church site
1902    Parsonage built beside sanctuary
1930    First Sunday School building erected
1937    Sanctuary remodeled – steeple lowered, exterior stuccoed, balcony removed
1945    One of first Scouting programs in Mecklenburg County begun at church
1950    Pineville became station with full-time minister
1958    Sunday School building demolished, replaced with current Stacy Hall
1964    Sanctuary demolished, replaced
1966    Church purchased parsonage on Main Street
1968    Methodist Church reorganized with new name: United Methodist Church
1974    Stacy Hall enlarged, first mission team traveled to Haiti
1983    Fellowship Building built
1986    First educational assistant hired
1993    Reba Baker Scholarship Fund established
1995    Summer Music Camp for children, Stephen Ministry program started
1998    First participation in Room In The Inn program
2004    Crossroads Center ground broken
2005    Crossroads Center consecrated
2006    Pre-School Summer Music Camp started
2007    Parent’s Morning Out, Upward Basketball started
