Pineville United Methodist Church of Pineville North Carolina

— United Methodist Men ——

The United Methodist Men (UMM) meet for Christian fellowship and sponsor projects for the benefit of the church.

UMM meets the third Sunday of each month at 7:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall for fellowship, Bible study and breakfast.  There is no cost to attend, but a donation to cover breakfast is appreciated.  The current study is Strong Men of the Bible.

Pineville UMC's men have planned a variety of spiritually and socially satisfying events for the spring season!  Join us!

  • March 11:  Lace up some of those two-toned shoes and practice your spin as the UMM get set to enjoy Bowling Night at AMF Bowling Center (4501 South Boulevard)!  The fun begins at 6:30 p.m. and $20 will cover your game, pizza and soft drinks. Meet at the alley on this Thursday.
  • April 15:  Meet Tony Redden and Elmer Dryden of Hickory Grove Baptist Church's Hearts and Hammers ministry and learn about opportunities for Pineville's UMM.  Join us this Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Building.
  • May 13:  Take us out to the ball game!  The UMM will enjoy peanuts, crackerjacks and felllowship as the Charlotte Knights battle the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.  More details to come!

Annual Barbecue

The UMM host a barbecue feast each fall, usually in late October or early November.   Sandwiches, plates and pounds for carry-out are available.

Contact Clay Parker for details.

Scott Rea Memorial Golf Tournament

One of the largest fundraisers held by the UMM.  The tournament is usually played in mid-September.  It supports the activities of the UMM and many of the church’s special needs.

Strength for Service

These devotional books are distributed to armed forces members around the world.  The national headquarters of the United Methodist Men publishes and distributes one book for as little as $5.  Support this ministry by making a check payable to the United Methodist Men and designating it for Strength for Service.  You may also purchase the book at Cokesbury Christian Bookstore (slightly higher price).
