Collect and recycle used cell phones and used ink cartridges to purchase equipment for the church and other organizations.

Provide assistance as needed.
Funeral Meals
Provide a meal for the family of a church member who dies.
Gal Pals
Heart Sister program for teen girls (grades 6 – 12) who attend Pineville UMC. Pray for and send secret cards and gifts until revealed at a special summer gathering. Girls and parents are invited to all UMW parties and events.
The 2010 Gal Pal Summer Social will be held on Thursday, August 19, at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Building.

Glasses for the Masses
Collect used eyeglasses through LensCrafters for Lions Club of Charlotte to distribute to those in need.
Heart Sister Program
Pray for and send cards to UMW member who is kept secret until the annual Christmas party.
High School Graduates
Honor at a reception and with a gift.
Collect shoe boxes filled with gifts and toiletries for children living in poverty and war to be distributed by Samaritan’s Purse.
Reading Program
Encourage women to read to become informed participants in God’s mission, sensitive to all human beings, alert to and knowledgeable about issues facing humankind and self-aware.
Shut-Ins
Remember with visits, cards and Sunshine Bags at Christmas.
