Senior VBS with Ed Kilborne March 16,17,& 18 One of the valuable things we lose with age is perspective. The T-shirt says, “been there, done that”, and we’ve been and done so many things it’s often difficult to see and experience familiar and precious things in new and meaningful ways. We grow tired and numb to the “same old, same old”. The Bible is one of those familiar things that we hear with our ears but not in our hearts and lives. On March 16,17, and 18 singer, storyteller and folk-theologian, Ed Kilbourne will bring his gifts of music, humor and teaching to take us to higher ground a place of perspective and insight that some have described as “just sitting down with Jesus”, a chance to experience Gospel stories as Word made fresh. Imagine the monologues of Garrison Keillor with the music of Jimmy Buffett and you’re almost there! We will gather in the Fellowship Building at 9:30 Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday for coffee and fellowship then from 10-12 each day we will have the chance to explore the Gospel from a new perspective. If you can’t attend all three days, it’s okay to come for one or two. Sign up today with Elaine Treece or call the church office. And please bring friends. They will thank you! Pineville United Methodist Church Senior Adult Vacation Bible School, Monday thru Wednesday mornings, March 16,17,18 Coffee, snacks and fellowship at 9:30, VBS Sessions 10:00-12:00 followed by a light lunch.
